Mansfield Marathon

This is a great marathon course, not too hilly, not too hard on the body, simple yet scenic and fast.

Starting near the head of the Great Victorian Rail Trail in Mansfield at Withers Lane, you head 10.55kms towards Bonnie Doon, turning just before the Midland Link Hwy. The course is out and back twice, the first lap will be with the Half Marathoners.

The start time of 8am is not too early that it’s rude but gives you plenty of time to get the job done in time for brunch or maybe lunch.

The temperature will be cool, around the 10 degrees mark which is optimal for best marathon times.

There will be a few minor road crossings. You will have to give way to cars, otherwise the event can’t happen, besides cars will always win. There will be marshals to tell you to stop or go, they are there for you, not the cars.

There will be water and energy provided along the way, the exact locations will be made clear to all participants closer to the event.

This will make a great goal event or lead into the Gold Coast Marathon, we look forwards to hosting you in Mansfield.
